ELDERS/PASTORS
The leadership of Laurel Bible Chapel consists of a plurality of elders. There is no "head" elder, rather the elders work together to shepherd the flock at Laurel. A framework of this type of leadership can be found in Alex Strach's book, Biblical Eldership.

MOSES KODUR
Born and raised in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area, Moses moved to San Diego in 2014 to study chemical engineering at UC San Diego. He served in collegiate ministry for many years, first with the For the Cross Club at Chabot College (2011–2014) and then with The Navigators at UC San Diego (2015–2017). While at UC San Diego, he met his wife, Laura, and they were married in 2018. They now have two children—a son and a daughter—and live in the City Heights neighborhood of San Diego.
Moses and Laura continue to serve part-time with The Navigators as their schedules allow. They enjoy exploring the outdoors, traveling, reading, and more recently, playing disc golf together. Moses draws inspiration from Ezra, "who set his heart to study the Law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach his statutes and rules in Israel" (Ezra 7:10). He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering and works in the field of optical instrumentation for thermal control.
“Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, serving asoverseers—not because you must, but because you are willing, as Godwants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not lording it over thoseentrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.”
