Event Description

This year’s retreat will be held April 5-7, 2019.

Our theme for the weekend is The Holy Spirit:  The Ministry of the Third Person of the Trinity.

“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth.”  John 16:13a

The third person of the Trinity plays an essential role in our salvation and our spiritual growth, but how much do we really understand of the Holy Spirit?  Join us as we look at what it means to be led by the Spirit, to draw upon Him in our personal life, and how He equips us for serving others in the body of Christ. We invite you to experience a weekend of refreshment, learning, reflection, and renewal.

This will be the second year that Southern California Women’s Conference (SCWC) will be held at Murrieta Hot Springs Christian Conference Center in Murrieta. Overwhelmingly, the women who attended last year’s retreat gave great, positive feedback on the new venue, including,

“Lots closer, beautiful grounds and great food well served.”
“I love the hot springs!”
“It’s fabulous!”

If you have not yet been to Murrieta Hot Springs Christian Conference Center, we encourage you to visit and explore their website (https://www.mhsretreats.com/) to see the conference center's location, rooms, and amenities such as the relaxing hot spring spas, pool, recreation room, exercise/weight room, The Overflowing Cup Coffee Shop, and the Springs of Life Christian Bookstore.

Save $15 by signing up on or before March 1, 2019!

Last day to register for the retreat is March 22, 2019.

We are committed to keeping SCWC an authentic and intimate time with the Lord, His Word, and each other. We invite you to be part of this special weekend.

Our speaker for the weekend is our dear friend Ruth Schwertfeger.  Ruth is a caring and gifted Bible teacher. A native of Northern Ireland, Ruth is a wife, mother, grandmother, professor emeritus, and author. Ruth and her husband live in Brookfield, Wisconsin, and fellowship at Wawatosa Community Chapel. Active in women’s ministry, Ruth greatly enjoys teaching women in the U.S. and Canada.
